It started with me finding ”Ask, Tell”. The rest is history. …And somewhere along the way I think your books had (corniness disclaimer (apologies, really)) a life-altering effect — an offshoot I usually associate with a rare few that I should only be so lucky to have stumbled on. Hoping your books past, present and future go on doing more of that same (gift giving?) to anyone lucky enough to find their way to those pages. In short, they’re a gift. I got addicted to the Don’t Ask Don’t tell series as I am a trauma nurse. And there’s not a lot of good lgbtq of healthcare. Yes it involves the military but still having that healthcare scope as well and ever since I been just reading away!

Just finished Leverage. Wow. Lexie and Sophia will hopefully reunite in Book 3 [fingers crossed]
I could relate to this book more than I wanted to- my ex was deployed off and on for the 8 years we were together. She was retired US Army intelligence and had a top secret clearance. I loathed her deployments but in the end, I realized those were the only times of peace in our very unhealthy and unhappy relationship. I left her three years ago and she was very displeased and made my life a living hell of threats, lawsuits and unbelievable cruelty. No sure why I’m sharing all this..wait I do..in the darkest times I found refuge in lesfic. Reading was my escape in those dark times. I realized I needed to get healthier and sought help. Today I am feeling stronger and healthier and I’m single but cool with that. Your book truly showed the pain and reality and uncertainty of being in a relationship with a deployed person in a hostile environment. I have many of your other books and have really enjoyed them. Thank you for sharing your gift of writing and story telling.
